Welcome to the fire station! Here, you will learn how to experience exciting adventures with clay and fire, starting with hands on play in the clay pit and then baking in a clay oven.

Important: Fire can be dangerous. You may only help, observe, and follow the instructions of adults. This way, you stay safe and can fully enjoy the adventure.

Here is what you can experience:

  1. Touch and shape clay
In the clay pit, you can knead, press, and shape the clay with your hands. Feel how it can be soft, sticky, or muddy. You can create small plates, balls, or figures using natural materials.
  2. Experiment with clay
Add some water and observe how the clay changes. Does it become firmer or softer? In this playful way, you learn how clay behaves in nature and how it is used for building and baking.
  3. Prepare clay and dough for the oven
Some of the clay will later be used for the clay oven. You will see how clay stores heat and why it was so important in the past for baking bread or pizza.
  4. Knead dough and prepare your pizza
Now you can knead the dough, shape small pizza bases, and top them with tomato sauce, cheese, vegetables, or herbs. There are no limits to your creativity.
  5. Bake pizza in the clay oven
Together, you place the pizzas into the hot clay oven. Watch as the dough becomes crispy and the cheese melts, a real fire based adventure.
  6. Taste and share
After baking, you can taste your pizza or share it with your friends. This makes your shared adventure even more enjoyable.
  7. Teamwork and fun
During the clay and baking activities, you learn to work together. Who kneads, who adds toppings, who watches the oven? Everything is more fun as a team.

Goal of the station:
You explore the world of clay and fire, learn how to knead dough and bake pizza, experience hands on discovery and teamwork, and enjoy a fun adventure with natural materials and fire, always safely and under supervision.
